Dr. S V Kane

Worked as an Oncopathologist for 35 years at Tata Memorial Hospital and retired as Head Department of Pathology and Cytology in the year 2018.

Published over 250 scientific articles in reputed international journals which have 22,000 reads. Two of the articles are in "New England Journal of Medicine." [NEJM 2009,2015]. Majority are pubmed indexed.

Contributed varied chapters in 15 books on Gynaecologic cancer, Cytology and Head & Neck cancer.

Actively involved in more than 50 IRB approved, clinically oriented projects. [e.g.Elective node dissection in early cancer (T1/T2N0) of oral cavity and Bill & Melinda Gates foundation sponsored Barshi project for Cervical cancer prevention-BCCPP]
